You are what you decide…

decision mechanismYour organization is the result of the decisions you make—period. Everything else is just details.

That is why decisions are postponed…avoided …transferred—anything but made. The consequences of making a dreadful mistake are overwhelming.

Effective decision-making requires you to tackle mountains of data, unconscious assumptions, the fickle behavior of countless stakeholders and tumultuous environmental factors—whilst ensuring that your actions remain auditable!

You wouldn’t attempt to balance your check-book without a calculator, but decision-makers persist in trying to make complex decisions using their unaided “judgement”. Frankly, this is indefensible.

Decision science has now advanced to the stage where it can guide decision-makers through the most challenging of questions. Using appropriate software, the complexity involved in the decision-making process can be managed…tamed…providing the decision-maker with the insights he needs to make the final call.

How we can help

At Decision Mechanics we package decision science in state-of-the-art software to provide decision-makers with usable tools.

We aim to embed the tools in your organization so that your decision-making processes are enhanced indefinitely.

Where necessary, our consultants can assist with major decisions or kick-start initiatives—but, as a tool provider, our goal is to remove ourselves from the equation as soon as it makes sense.

About Decision Mechanics

We have seasoned expertise in the application of science and IT to aid decision-makers.

Our consultants have an average of 15 years experience in the field. We never deploy new graduates on client projects. Our less experienced members of staff cut their teeth on internal product development.

At Decision Mechanics, we take great pride in “dog-fooding” our technology—using it in the day-to-day management of our business.

Our mission statement/mantra? Aid decision-makers.

If the teams have scored equal number of goals (after additional playing time), the game will be decided on "penalties". A penalty … [Read more of this post...]
